Hope all of you have had a good week. From this point it sure looks like rain.

The most important part of my news is that we have an eight-pound eight-ounce great grandbaby boy. He was born Thurs., April 19, to Randy and Charity Lowdermilk. Grandparents are Ronnie and Barbara Lowdermilk and Betty Wilson. He has been named Jordan Reeves and his brother Caleb seems well pleased.

Jim and Betty Roberson had lunch with her brother sister-in-law, Harvey and Faye Taylor, Sunday.

Werner and Donna Schmidt from Longview, Texas, visited her Uncle Neil and me on Sunday.

I failed to include Bron and Stan Koger visiting her grandmother, Billie Ridling, last Sunday.

Leola Faye Ridling honored her daughter, Pat Harris, from Hope with a birthday supper on Saturday night. Those attending were Bill Jr. and Donna Ridling, Carol and Dakota Ridling, Mike, Neal, Sonja and Morgan Ridling from Hope and Martha Steed.

Casey Meeks and Whitney Cantibury from Jackson, Miss., and Betty Wilson from Hot Springs Village visited all of their family over the weekend.

Danny Wilson shocked his wife, Cherrie, and daughter, Katy, by taking them on a date. He took them out to eat at Red Lobster in Texarkana Saturday night. They did some much-needed shopping.

This is really a believe it or not, but I'm using it. Everyone who is married has heard the story, in sickness and health. We promise to take care of each other, but this story is quiet different. A person fell during the ice storm and broke his hip. This left him helpless and unable to care for himself. Would you believe his wife went to Little Rock and had three bypasses, leaving him to do the best he could. If you have doubts and don't believe this just call Dody Ellis.

Darlene Henderson honored Wilma Compton with a birthday dinner Sunday. Those attending were Linda, Joe and Tommy Ghormley and Kay Hendricks and her family. She was really surprised to get a call from her granddaughter Jessica in Hawaii.

Paul Ghormly is glad to be home recovering from surgery.

Word has been received that Beulah Cagle has passed away in Dallas. She is the mother of Roy Cagle, Louise and Lola Jean. The funeral will be in Prescott on Wednesday.
