Oak Grove NewsBY LULA Q. KENDRICKPublished Wednesday, April 25, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Our second quarter conference was held at Bethel AME Church Sunday. Rev. Thomas Adair, presiding elder of the Magnolia District, was in charge. Mrs. Vera Purifoy and I went to Hope to visit with the Dillard family. Joe Dillard's mother, Mrs. Odeal Dillard, who passed away. Her funeral will be Monday at Rosston Baptist Church. Sympathy goes out to the family. She was a sweet person. She had a sweet daughter-in-law, Adelia Dillard. Mrs. Odessa Zackery's children gave their mother a surprise birthday party in Camden Saturday night. I heard it was really nice.
