Prescott police, along with several other agencies, arrested 12 people Saturday, April 21, after a three-month long undercover drug investigation.

Judge Duncan Culpepper issued arrest warrants for 12 subjects before the raid. Eleven of the 12 were arrested plus another person, who was apprehended at the house of one of the suspects.

Dartelli Kite, 31, was charged with five counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

Lashondra Sorrells, 19, was also arrested with Kite. Officials say she was at Kite's home when his warrant was served. Sorrells was charged with possession with the intent to deliver.

A search warrant was also executed for Kite's residence. While searching the residence on West Main, police found several bags of what is believed to be crack cocaine and a small sum of money.

Other arrests made include:

John Deshawn McClenton, 22, was charged with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

Edward Barzar, 23, Clinton Sims Jr., 35, and Marvin Sims, 26, were charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

Marvin Sims was served his warrant while in the Nevada County Jail for an alleged robbery of the Citgo Station at Exit 46 earlier in the week.

Fredrick Fricks, 21, Curtis Brown, 39, Rita Hays, 20, Sandra Gulley, 32, Rodney Ross, 24, and Derrick Terrell Shaw, 21, were each charged with one count of delivery of a controlled substance.

Prescott Police Chief Sam Reeder said when officers executed the warrant on Shaw, what appeared to be drugs or drug paraphernalia were in plain sight.

Reeder said Shaw gave officers verbal consent to search his residence.

According to Reeder, 17 grams of what is believed to be crack cocaine was found in addition to one and one-half pounds of marijuana and over $300 in cash.

The items allegedly found in Shaw's residence by police officials resulted in an additional charge of possession with the intent to deliver.

Reeder said his office was aided in the execution of the warrants by Nevada County Sheriff Steve Otwell and his department, along with officers from the Arkansas State Police, South Central Arkansas Drug Task Force and the Arkansas Game and Fish.
