Classy Moments from Cabe Middle School

I really made a mistake last week, as though you did not know. The Benchmark test is only for sixth and eighth graders, not the fifth grade as was stated in last week's paper. Guess I was just trying to get everyone involved. All kidding aside, I am very sorry for giving the wrong information.

Several students are showing concern about their grades, as it is only a short time before we will be out of school for this school year. It is so important that each student attend school daily and complete all assigned work on time.

Mrs. Hitt had the junior high choir to sing several songs at the Gurdon Senior Adult Center last week. Needless to say their performance was excellent. It would not be surprising if they were asked to make a return performance.

The ushers for the eighth grade graduation are Cody Miller, Allison Anderson, Sean O'Connell, Jennifer Watson and Callie King. They were very pleased when notified of the selection.

We have an anxious grandmother among us, as Mrs. Bullard will be grandmother for the third time in May. It's as though it will be for the first time. Grandmothers are like that.

Mrs. Carla Jester is enjoying the role of grandmother, as her daughter and son in-law, LeAndre and Michael, have a little boy. However, the new Aunt Jolee, is really proud of that baby and always has something to say about him. Congratulations to those families.

Monday progress reports were sent home. These should be signed by the parent and returned by Thursday.

The campus looks so nice. Mr. Lyons and Larry Giles really do a great job of keeping up with the mowing. Thanks for caring by the way you take care of things for us.

Time is drawing near for the end of this school year, but until that time arrives we will continue to make those Classy Moments at Cabe Middle School.
