We had a three-night meeting at Bethel AME Church. Wednesday night was the last night. It really was a wonderful meeting. Rev. Thomas W. Scott was the evangelist for the three nights. Every choir in the area attended. The church was almost full every night.

It really rained here Sunday morning. We got to go to church just the same. They really did have a good children's choir. Mrs. C. Coleman is the youth director. She really can sing and direct.

They really did have the children at Oak Grove. They also have a good pastor. He is doing a wonderful job teaching and preaching. He makes you feel like you have been to church when you leave.

Leslie Box and his wife, Benora, and her daughter, Ollie, and her husband went also. The Boxes charted a bus. I am sure they had a good time at the Box family reunion. It is a large family.

Oak Grove Baptist Church went to First Union Baptist Church Sunday. The pastor is Rev. Porchia brought the message. Rev. Frank Davern is the host pastor.

Rev. Enious Montgomery visited me Sunday afternoon. He is my ex-pastor. My neighbor, Mrs. Janet visited me also.

When it rains it pours. My car broke down. I can't have any transportation. I am really going through something. I am really having to go and do.

Brady Burnell had surgery on his foot and he is still in the hospital in Texarkana. Germa Burnell, his wife is still on the sick list.
