Police ReportBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, April 28, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune Officers with the Prescott Police Department and Nevada County Sheriff's Office are looking for the suspect(s) who broke into the Tobacco Shop. The incident occurred either late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, according to Heb Sorrells, media information officer with the NCSO. He said the suspect(s) apparently climbed onto the roof and disabled the business's alarm then cut the telephone line. Entry was gained by kicking in the front door. Approximately 200 cartons of cigarettes and some $200 in rolled coins were taken in the burglary. The suspect(s) either fled down Arnold or Scott Street as cartons of cigarettes had been dropped in this area. Sorrells asks anyone who is approached by someone selling cigarettes at a reduced price to contact the NCSO or PPD.
