All former students who attended Okolona High School are invited to attend the biannual reunion Saturday, May 5, at the Okolona High School beginning at 9:00 a.m. Bring your own sandwich in paper sack, wrapped in newspaper, or molasses bucket. Drinks will be provided.

A revival will be held at First United Methodist Church of Gurdon Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, April 22, 23 and 24. Sunday services will begin at 6:00 p.m. Services Monday and Tuesday will begin at 7:00 p.m. Pastor John Darnelle from St. Paul United Methodist Church in El Dorado will be the evangelist.

First United Methodist Church of Gurdon is will have its annual fish fry Thursday, April 26, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $6 adults, $3.50 children for ages 6 to 12 years and children five and under can eat free. Take out meals welcomed. Call 353-4469 for further information.

Learn creative ways to decorate with and use clay flower pots. A craft class will be sponsored by the Clark County Extension Homemakers. The class will be taught by Linda Hood Wednesday, April 25, at 9:30 a.m. at the EHC kitchen in Arkadelphia at the Clark County Fairgrounds on Highway 67 South. This meeting is free and open to the public.

Those attending should take their own seven-inch pots with saucers. Call the Extension office at 870-246-2281 to sign up for the class.

Curtis Assembly of God on Central Road with Pastor Don Youker will be holding a revival beginning with a singing service on Sunday, April 22, at 6:00 p.m. featuring the gospel group, Believers.'

The revival services will be held April 23 through 27, starting nightly at 7:00 p.m. Evangelist Bernard Escalante will be the speaker. Everyone is welcome.

The Gurdon High School class of 1971 is planning its 30-year reunion. If you have addresses for graduates of 1971 call Dinah Buck at 353-4641 or Kathy Anderson at 353-3853.

There will be a special called meeting of the board of Central Arkansas Development Council Friday, April 20, at the Oak Terrace Tea Room, 416 East Page in Malvern. The meeting will begin at 11:15 a.m.

The Red Springs Extension Homemakers Club meets every second Thursday of each month at the Gurdon Municipal building beginning at 10:00 a.m. Any interested person is welcome to attend.

The city of Gurdon reminds residents the storm sirens are tested every Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Sirens are not tested during inclement weather.

Gurdon Masonic Lodge 187 meets the first and third Tuesday of each month. All members are urged to attend.

Alcoholics Anonymous meets on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon.
