If You Don't Use It, Lose It" was the program Joyce Rutherford gave to the Red Springs Extension Homemakers Club Thursday, April 12, at the Gurdon Municipal building.

Some very informative and helpful tips were given. When cleaning closets, etc. have three boxes close by, one for throw aways, one give aways, and one garage sale things you don't use or need any longer.

Getting rid of these items you no longer use or need gives you space for more important things.

Tootsie Dempsey presided over the business session. A card of appreciation from Kim Pevehouse was read. The card was written on behalf of her friend, Maxine Watkins, who was given cancer turbans and night caps. A memorial gift was given to Sybil Harris in memory of her brother.

Seventy-five Easter bags were sewn and given to Arkansas Children's Hospital. Mary McBride and Joyce Rutherford baked cookies for the Family Care of Elderly Workshop held recently in Arkadelphia.

Betty Cook conducted a hearty shaped pin workshop covered with ribbons and buttons. Sue Muldrew won the door prize and Joyce Lantz gave the blessing of the food.

The meeting adjourned with a reading of the ten commandments of membership.
