Letter To The Editor - God Bless Prescott

My family and I moved to Prescott (Laneburg) almost a year ago, knowing that this community was where God was leading us.

What blessings we have received. During this time we have met people who have become like family. For those of you who have lived here all your lives or newcomers like us, take notice of the education and community leaders who seek guidance from the Lord as well.

My husband and I attended the Chamber banquet and it was wonderful to see the number of people who came out to support this caring community.

Hats off to Mary Godwin, John Chadwell and the many others who made that night a special event. Thanks also to Mary for making our move much easier, on myself anyway. By speaking with Mary on the phone several times before our move, I knew right off she was a big supporter of Prescott and she could see the potential here.

What an example Ron Wright has been to us. I once told him how much his Christian example meant to me, knowing my six-year-old daughter attends one of his schools and in the care of great teachers. Being named Citizen of the Year' is quite an honor, but how great are the riches to come. Thank you ,Mr. Wright, for being who you are.

With great schools, supporting churches and fine residents here in Prescott, my family and I pray we will be of service to you as you have been to us. God bless Prescott.
