Poetry Reading Is April 28Published Wednesday, April 11, 2001 in the Nevada County PicayuneIn celebration of Poetry Month the Artesian Arts League will sponsor a poetry reading Saturday, April 28, between 10:00 and 11:30 a.m. This will be held at the Whistlin Gopher at 123 East Elm Street. Take your favorite poems or some of your original work to be read to the group. Refreshments will be provided. The Artesian Arts League will sponsor an art show in connection with the Chicken and Egg Festival in June. Everyone is invited to enter your art work to be shown. More details will be given later on the art show. The League also report a very successful poetry workshop that was held recently. There were 10 participants attending. Various forms and patterns of poetry were taught. Several choral readings were read and enjoyed by the entire group.
