Herman Felts "H.F." Hart

Herman Felts H. F.' Hart, 84, of Baytown, Texas, formerly of Rosston, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at his home in Baytown.

Mr. Hart was born April 28, 1916, in Rosston to Eddie M. And Myrtia Purtle Hart. He was a pioneer employee of Texas Eastern Transmission Corporation. He retired as chief operator after 30 years of dedicated service. He spent his retirement years enjoying a favorite pastime of driving cars for several local dealerships. Mr. Hart was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church in Baytown, a U.S. Army Veteran and was in World War II, 29st Regiment, 75th Infantry Company F. He served in France, Germany and Belgium.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years: Lera Dillard Hart of Baytown, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Anna and Stan Ingrum of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Betty and Jerrell Troutman of Baytown, Texas, and Sandra and Chris Tilton of Mont Belvieu; one brother, Joe Hart of Senatobia, Miss.; one sister, Rachel Vaden of North Little Rock; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Sunday, April 8, at Rosston Cemetery in Rosston under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cedar Bayou Baptist Church building fund; 3116 N. Alexander Dr., Baytown, TX 77520.
