Residents Complain About Cable TV (cont)BY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, April 28, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune s no good as a street superintendent if he has to get approval for the work needing to be done. Beavert said a culvert on Vine needs to be replaced and a house on East Ross needs to be demolished. Both, he said, should have been done because the weather has bee no problem and the city has authorization to raze the house. Taylor said he had to wait for city attorney Glen Vasser to get the paperwork done before the structure can be demolished. Vasser, though, said the city has complied with all the rules and regulations concerning the demolition and it could be done at any time. Beavert also said Myrtle Street has a serious drainage problem in need of being corrected. Taylor acknowledged an awareness of the situation and said the work will be done when he and Heath agree it's time. "We work together," he said. "I want it in the minutes," Beavert said, "the culvert will be replaced (on Vine Street) within 30 days, the house on Ross Street will be pushed down and work will be done at Myrtle."
