Oak Grove NewsLULA Q. KENDRICKPublished Wednesday, April 11, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune We had a wonderful district conference at St. Stephens last Friday. The spirit was really high. Rev. Arthur Colter really brought a wonderful message. His choir really did sing good. He is pastoring at Bethel Hope at the present. I was able to attend Friday night. Our three nights will be held Monday through Wednesday night. Rev. T. Scott will bring the message. He is one of our home boys. At the present he is pastoring in Pine Bluff. Oak Grove Baptist is growing every Sunday. That is good for the community. We had a wonderful attendance in church Sunday. Our guest was Bro. Don Yarbrough. He taught Sunday school at Bethel. He is really a wonderful person and secure in his teaching. B.J. Ollison stopped by to see me Sunday. He went to school here at Oak Grove. L.W. Johnson was our superintendent. He lives in El Dorado at the present. Easter is just around the corner. I am sure you have your Easter outfit. This year is moving right along. Pray for the sick and shut in.
