Boughton NewsMRS. WILLIE HOOKSPublished Wednesday, April 11, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Congratulations to Tim Jester. He killed his first turkey gobbler Monday. He was a nice one with a 10-inch beard. Jim and Thomas Jester also killed nice gobblers. Kyla Jester spent Tuesday and Tuesday night with her grandparents, Dotty and Thomas Jester. Everett and Mary Orren returned home Monday after spending a week with their daughter, Linda Brooks, her husband, Lyle, and grandsons Craig and Aaron of Macon, Ga. Lyle and Everett attended the Bell South golf tournament at Atlanta, Ga. In route home they visited Barbara Norris in West Monroe, La. Our son, Willie Hugh, spent Wednesday with us. The men folks caught a nice bunch of fish. Steve and Angie Jester and Kyla and a friend Rick of Wisconsin spent last Friday night with Dotty and Thomas Jester. Jimmy and Barbara Jean (Horn) Eriskin of Bentonville spent Tuesday night with Everett and Mary Orren. They all attended the funeral of Bobby Whitmarsh Wednesday. They were classmates of Bobby. We extend our sympathy to the Bobby Whitmarsh family over Bobby's death. Also to the Hildebrand family over the death of Steve Hildebrand. Winderleen Jester, Dotty and Thomas Jester enjoyed a catfish supper with Pete and Cathryn Jester and Jimmy Joe last Sunday night. Friends of Fate House will be sorry to here he is in a hospital in Paris, Texas. Don't forget clean-up day April 14 at Piney Grove Cemetery. Never underestimate the power of a kind word or deed.
