Bodcaw NewsALINE CLAUSPublished Wednesday, April 11, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune It is time for the Easter bunny to be hopping this coming weekend. I'm already hearing of egg hunts. There will be one Saturday at 2 p.m. for our kids. Neil and Ruby Carlton of Nashville came by for a visit with me. They were getting ready for his gardening. He had tomato, pepper plants and English peas growing. J.D. and Marie Allen were to go see Pat Wilbanks, who is still in a Little Rock hospital. She seems to be improving some; she has had some feeling in the paralyzed leg. Earlene Butler and I went to Texarkana. I had some tests made. We then went to St. Michael Rehab for a visit with Alta Mullins, who is there. Loretta Baker's father, Mr. Thompson, has passed away. Services were set for Tuesday. Margaret Fulkerson was in church. Morine Butler went into Hope to bring her to church. She is our blind friend who enjoys coming to church. Walker Flowers rode in the pole racing in the 4-H county rodeo. He placed third. Earlene Butler spent a couple of nights last week in Medical Park Hospital. She went in with heart attack symptoms. She will have further tests. Russ Carlton sang with The Heritage Singers from Magnolia. They went to Crossett, El Dorado and Camden one day. Russ Carlton sang at Stamps on Saturday at the firemen's benefit. Phyllis Butler was home this weekend. She had to get taxes done as time is running out. Bro. Tom and June Stevens missed colds and allergy, so it caught up with them this weekend. Happy Easter to all. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
