College News - Amanda PhillipsPublished Wednesday, April 11, 2001 in the Nevada County PicayuneAmanda Phillips of Prescott has been awarded a scholarship to attend the University of Arkansas at Monticello next fall, according to Mary Whiting, director of admissions. Phillips has been awarded a leadership scholarship, which includes tuition for two semesters and requires an ACT composite score of 19 or better, a 3.0 grade point average and evidence of school and community leadership. Phillips is a senior at Prescott High School and the daughter of Mike and Tammy Phillips. Her high school activities include membership in the Key Club, Science Club, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, FBLA, band and FHA.
