Boughton NewsMRS. WILLIE HOOKSPublished Wednesday, April 4, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune I would like to correct a mistake in last week's news. It was Bennie Freeman, instead of Bonnie, who died, and I did not get all who attended his funeral from our community. Thomas and Dotty Jester, Lance and Lisa Beaver, Lori, and Amanda and Chance Cummings also attended. Elsie Elmore spent one day last week with Mary Butler. Congratulations to Zack and Rae Lathrop. They are the proud parents of a baby boy born March 16. He has been named Lane Dorman. Jonathan Miller spent his spring break from school with Thomas and Dotty Jester. J.D. and Mildred Kelly visited Syble Brown one day last week. Friends of Mildred Stallworth of Benton, La., formerly of our community, will be sorry to hear she had brain surgery last week. Hopefully she will be okay, but would like to be remembered in our prayers. Eddie and Doyle Jester of Houston spent a few days with their parents, Thomas and Dotty Jester. Svisitors of Chloe Orren were Dale Orren, Wanda and Edgar White and Pat Loe. All of Herbie Ridgell's grandchildren, Josh and Loretta, Ashley, Alex and Andrew visited him during their spring break from school. Saturday, April 14, has been set for the annual clean-up at Piney Grove Cemetery. Take your working tools and potluck lunch. We will have time for fellowship. Gayle Mason visited Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas one day last week. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
