Golden OldiesDORIS VANCEPublished Wednesday, April 4, 2001 in the Gurdon Times The sunshine is so beautiful today (Sunday). It is a welcome sight after so much gloomy weather. Last month's birthdays were not run in the paper last week. The one with March birthdays are Earl Smithpeters, J.W. Taylor, Lloyd Baumgardner, Elvin McBride, Gene Burton, Mary McBride, Watson Smith, Jimmy Stiffler, Celia Avery, Doris Protratz and George Dixon. Out activity director has been keeping us busy. She has been having games, bingo, singing, walking exercise and many other activities. We would love for the ones over 60 and over to come and join us. The Cover Girls are back quilting again. We had to stop while we were issuing commodities. We have so many members who have been sick. I will try to have more news next week.
