Chancel Choir Plans ContataPublished Wednesday, April 4, 2001 in the Gurdon TimesThe First United Methodist Church chancel choir will present the annual Easter cantata Sunday, April 8, at 11:00 a.m. The choir will perform Cornerstone by Russell Mauldin. Adult choir members include Martha Thomas, Bonnie Wimberly, Marsha Porcellie, Mary Lou Stroud, LaDawne Simpson, Patricia Childers, Mary Ann Newton, Jance Donahoue, Allen Wimberly, Eric Hittenrauch, Billy Tarpley, Paul Barringer and Daryl Protratz. The performance will be narrated by Rev. Rusty Jones. Solos will be rendered by Martha Thomas and Billy Tarpley. Jerry Don Childres will direct the musical and Billie Jean Miller will serve as accompanist. Everyone is invited attend and to participate in this special Easter celebration.
