Spring has arrived. The trees are budding, the grass is all around us. After all the ice storms the trees need pruning. The way God wants us to do is reach out and touch someone, who has been down and out. We as Christians can make a difference.

There was a birthday dinner on Saturday for Mrs. Sarah Johnson. Out of state guests were her son, Nelson Godbolt of Houston, Texas, and grandchildren, the Newton brothers and sisters of Dallas, Texas. Relatives and friends were all around.

Sister of Thelma McKinney of Dallas was buried Saturday near Magnolia.

There was a great revival at New Beginning Church last week. Herbert Adams is the pastor. The evangelist was Rev. A.T. Jordan of Nash, Texas. Pleasant Grove choir was the guest Wednesday night.

Ruth Ingram's nephew, Lee Earnest Carter, from Los Angles, Calif., visited her and her family Saturday.

Roy Elliott went to the hospital Wednesday of last week for out-patient work.

Let us not forget the hat program Sunday, April 1, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove. The theme is Where Did You Get That Hat?
