Rabies Clinic In Gurdon On Thursday

Published Wednesday, April 28, 1999 in the Gurdon Times

A series of rabies vaccination clinics through Clark County is going on this week.

Each rabies vaccination will cost $6. All dogs and cats older than three months may be vaccinated.

The clinics began Monday and will continue through Saturday. Here is the schedule for the reast of the week:

Wed., April 28 Curtis at Herron's store from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m.; and Gum Springs (RCI building) 6:00-6:30 p.m.

Thurs., April 29 Gurdon on the First State Bank lot from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m.

Fri., April 30 Downtown Okolona from 5:15 to 5:45 p.m.; and Trinity (RCI building) 6:00- 6:15 p.m.

Sat., May 1 South Central (RCI building) 8:00-8:30 p.m.

Rabies can occur at any time of the year and is not more common during any particular time of the year. Dogs and cats in rural areas are more likely to have contact with rabies-carrying animals, such as skunks, so it is especially important to keep their shots current.

Arkansas law requires all dogs and cats to be vaccinated each year against rabies. You help protect your family, neighbors, livestock and other pets by having every dog and cat you own vaccinated.
