Myrtle Tarpley MorrisHORNE FUNERAL HOME of GURDONPublished Wednesday, March 28, 2001 in the Gurdon Times Myrtle Tarpley Morris, 91, of Gurdon died Saturday, March 24, 2001. Mrs. Morris was a homemaker and a member of Beech St. Baptist church. She was born in Okolona August 18, 1909, to Mark T. and Fannie Tarpley. Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Morris. She is survived by one son, Billy J. Morris of Omaha, Neb.; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 27, in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Wilson officiating. Burial was in Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon under the direction of Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon. Memorials may be made to Beech Street Baptist Church.
