Bullock Honored As Christian Student AthletePublished Wednesday, March 21, 2001 in the Nevada County PicayunePrescott High School student athlete Josh Bullock earned first team All-American recognition as one of the top high school Christian student athletes in America. More than 8,400 student athletes nationwide were nominated from 20,000 high schools for this prestigious award and top honors were given in four categories: first and second team All-Americans and first and second team honorable mention. Athletes were selected for their academic accomplishments, athletic achievements and Christian character to represent some of the brightest and most accomplishes high school student athletes in the nation. The All-American program, now in its fifth year, was created to reward and encourage high school student athletes who are impacting their schools, communities and generation in a powerful way. "We want to congratulate Josh on being selected to represent Prescott High School as one of the finest Christian student athletes in America," said Kent Susud, Athletes of Good News executive director. Bullock is the son of Leslie and Debbie Bullock of Prescott. "The mission of the high school Christian student Athlete All-American program is simple, yet powerful," says Susud. "Our mission is to encourage and reward Christian athletes for their athletic accomplishments, academic achievements and boldness to impact their generation through a life of Christian character. "Josh is a student athlete who is truly making a difference and should be recognized not just because he makes good grades or because he is a star athlete, but for a greater reason; because Josh made a commitment to serve others and live a life of character and integrity based upon his personal relationship with Jesus Christ."
