Marguerite Tomlin, president, called the meeting to order. Due to the weather and sickness the club had several members absent. Laverne Green, secretary, called the roll with everyone answering with, "What is your picture of an ideal older woman?" There were several different ideas. All the members can put these ideas into action and help us lie an ideal older woman. All the members were sorry to hear Ruth Sullivan lost a brother-in-law and a sister recently. She had just lost her husband. She has our deepest sympathy. Selection of a new service committee was postponed until the next meeting. Mrs. Betty Lewis' husband is very sick. Betty Perkins' husband is having heart problems. Ruth Bumpers husband has been sick also. Laverne Green presented a program on It is okay to be older'. Life does not have to be sad, lonely and empty. Stay involved in church and community. There are many people who could use a visit, card, phone call or just anything to show you care. Plant a flower garden. Eat right and exercise and especially important as each get older. Prayer of thanks was by Vernell Loe. Potluck was enjoyed by all. Meeting was adjourned.
