Oak Grove Civic LeaguePublished Wednesday, March 21, 2001 in the Nevada County PicayuneTuesday, March 6, the Oak Grove Civic League convened at its monthly meeting. The election of 2001-2002 officers was among the order of business. Herbert Coleman, after a lengthy tenure of on-going leadership, declined to declare himself a candidate for re-election as president. He humbly thanked his co-members and associates for their continued dedication and devotion over the years. He was commended by all for his hard work and endurance. He reaffirmed his continued support to the organization and officers-elect. Newly elected officers for the existing league are Leo Holleman, president; Lula Kendrick, vice president; Henry L. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
