The Gurdon Go-Devil relays will begin in the afternoon on Tuesday, March 27. Twelve schools including Gurdon will compete. Support your Gurdon Go-Devils. Students who will be entering kindergarten in the fall need to register at the Gurdon Primary School on Wednesday, March 28, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. or Thursday, March 29, between 12:00 noon and 6:00 p.m. Students will be given a screening evaluation at this time. Students registering for kindergarten must be five years old on or before September 15. Friends and relatives of Clemie Smart-Clark are invited to an open house in celebration of her 99th birthday Saturday, March 24, at Shaw's Tea Room, 901 Hickory Street, Arkadelphia, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Gurdon First Assembly of God is holding a sidewalk Sunday school gathering for children Saturday, March 24, beginning at 1:00 p.m., featuring character actors portraying Peter the apostle and Happy' clown. The 26th annual Festival of Two Rivers will be held Friday and Saturday, April 13 and 14, in Arkadelphia. Festival hours are 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on April 13 and 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on April 14. Kids' run will begin at 8:00 a.m. on April 14 at the courthouse. The board of directors of Central Arkansas Development Council will meet Monday, March 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the Malvern Senior Adult Center, 836 Acme St. in Malvern. Red River Baptist Association will offer a literacy training workshop on March 31. The workshop includes English as a second language,' tutoring youth and children,' and adult reading and writing.'
