60th Anniversary Celebration Held

Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Stafford celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday, March 18.

They were married March 16, 1941. Mrs. Stafford is the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. I.S. (Sam) Bragg. Mr. Stafford is the son of the late Fred and Lucy Stafford.

Mrs. Stafford retired as a teacher from the Gurdon School District. He is retired as maintenance of way foreman of Union Pacific Railway.

They are the parents of Gloria Whitmore of Lansing, Mich., Harold Stafford of Dover, Del., Phillip Stafford of Daly City, Calif., and Michael Stafford of Little Rock

They are grandparents of 14 grandchildren and they are great grandparents of nine great-grandchildren.
