Bodcaw NewsALINE CLAUSPublished Wednesday, March 14, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Greetings to some of you who check us out on the Internet. The Union Hill singers put on a concert Friday night at Bodcaw, a good program. Norris Daniels was a happy mother and grandmother. She came from a singing family. Joe Daniels and wife, Joyce Daniels Purtle and Ted Purtle and daughter of Round Rock, Texas, and their daughter, Laurie and three children from Tennessee were all there. Her husband is David Phelps who sings with the Gaithers. J.D. and Maxine Allen met Pat and Julie Wilbanks in Arkadelphia on Wednesday for lunch and a visit. Alta Mullins is still in the hospital. She is improving and hopes to go home in a few days. Russ Carlton went to sing with SAU Heritage Singers in concert at First Methodist Church in Magnolia. The J. D Allens and the Jack Fieldings of Hope went to Hot Springs Saturday to help celebrate their grandson Cartier's first birthday. Hayden Poindexter was in church with Jewel and Mary. Glad Mary was able to attend. Marguerite Dorman was feeling better and in church on Sunday. The Friends group are having a St. Patrick party Wednesday.
