Community NewsJERINE HATLEYPublished Wednesday, March 14, 2001 in the Gurdon Times A Women In White fellowship will take place Saturday, April 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the New Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor. Sponsored by the Willing Workers.' Everyone is invited. Sis. Mattie Beasley is president. There will be a musical program Saturday night, March 17, at 6:30 at First Baptist Church of Okolona with Rev. Eddie Brown, pastor. Sponsored by the women's department. Everyone and all churches are welcome. The officers and members of Ronoke Baptist Church in Greenville community near Gurdon will celebrate their pastor and his wife, Rev. and Mrs. Troy Hearn, and family pastor's anniversary Sunday, April 1, at 2:30 p.m. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Special guests will be the New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon with Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor and speaker and other guests. William E. Harrington and Richard J. Harrington of Chicago, Ill., visited relatives in Okolona, Burtsell, Antoine, Malvern, Gurdon and Little Rock last week. Clyde Young Jr. of Michigan passed away and was memorialized in Michigan three weeks ago. Young was the brother of Sis. Lilda Mae Gill of Burtsell. Mrs. Odessia Hatley of Gurdon is visiting her children in Battle Creek, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Buford and family, Brendel Hatley and Dianne Hatley, and other relatives and friends. Mildred (formerly) Lockett, Ruth Lockett and Leona Terrell of Michigan, and Bobbie N. James of Malvern visited their brother and cousin, James and Janice Lockett last week, along with other relatives and friends in the surrounding areas.
