I've been playing a new game that I call Highway Hop-scotch. The object of the game is to drive to Camden without hitting a pot-hole. So far, I have not been very successful.

Everything is soggy around here from the recent rains, but the March

winds should help to dry things out. It's time to think about planting a garden. That's what most people do just think about it.

Jeanie and I spent most of last week in Missouri visiting her mother and father who were both in the hospital at the same time. In fact, that's how they spent their sixty-first anniversary.

Funeral services for Jack Walker were last Friday at Bluff City with

burial in Bluff City Cemetery. Also buried at Bluff City Cemetery was Orville Paul Greer from Chidester.

Bill and Linda Carman were out of town for a few days last week.

Kay Sellers' brother finally received his bone marrow transplant last week. The doctors are optimistic that it will be successful. It will require a very long hospital stay, so keep them in your prayers.

Lloyd and Pearl Hinson visited Millard and Elloene McBride. Lloyd spoke at church on Sunday night about their work as missionaries in Zambia, Africa.

March is a good time to try flying a kite. In 1941 Bluff City hosted the County Kite Tournament. Prizes were given for the largest kite, the smallest kite, the most unique kite, and for the one put up in the shortest time.
