Emmet Pageant Deadline Nears

The second annual Easter Miss pageant will be held Saturday, April 7, at 10:00 a.m. in the Emmet School cafetorium. Anyone wanting to enter must do so by March 24.

The pageant is sponsored by the Emmet High School cheerleaders as a fund-raiser.

Entry fee is $45. This covers best dressed (pageant attire) and spring sportswear. Optional categories are photogenic ($5 each picture) and portfolio ($10 each).

Two new optional categories have been added this year. They are: most beautiful/most handsome ($5) and best personality ($5). These optional categories do not count toward the total point score.

There will be a queen and two alternates chosen from each age group. The queen will receive a crown, trophy and banner. Alternates will receive a trophy. All children who enter will receive a prize.

Age divisions are: 0-4 for boys. Girls' division are ages 0-18 months, 19-35 months, 3-4 years, 5-6 year, 7-9 years, 10-12 years, 13-15 years and 16-18 years.

Funds from the pageant will help raise money to send the cheerleaders to summer camp.
