Nivens of Prescott has received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering technology from Louise Tech University in Ruston. The university's winter quarter commencement exercises were held February 24 in Thomas Assembly Center with diplomas awarded to 324 graduates. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
