We attended the beautiful funeral services of Bill Freeman of Prescott on Wednesday. I think it was the most people and flowers that we had ever seen at a funeral. The three preachers did a splendid job and so did the ones who rendered special music. The funeral service was at First Baptist Church with burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Remember this family in prayer.

Clois Clark of Houston, formerly of Rosston, was buried Wednesday at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Funeral was at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.

Bob Williams of Camden passed away this week. Funeral was Sunday afternoon at the Christian Church in Camden. Roscoe and I, Bro. Mark and Stacy Faulkner, Lyn Dean and Max Allen Morman, B.C. and Louise Ritter, Paul and Dot Broussard and Gregg Smith all of Rosston attended. Elsie Williams of Rosston was his mother. Please remember these families in prayer.

Guests in church Sunday were Daisy Methvin of Stephens and Rebeccah Butler and baby. We were happy to have Angie Carlton and her baby. Bro. Mark brought a good message and Jeff and Tara Carlton rendered a beautiful new song. The day was concluded with a business meeting that night.

Roscoe, Bob Gresham and A.B. Luck worked at the parsonage this week repairing ceilings that were damaged by the ice storm.

Van O'Keefe and family were guests of Valeria O'Keefe this weekend. Maybe our pastor and wife will get moved this week.

Charles and Jo Caldwell are spending a few days at their vacation home in Rosston.

Our Saturday night supper guests were my brother Billy Schmitt and his wife of Hope.

Another Jonquil Festival has come and gone at Washington and I did not get to attend. It rained off and on all day. I think it was the first one I have ever missed and I'm tired of so much rain. I feel like I'm mildewed over, but I'm sure by July and August we will be wishing for rain.

The pink and blue shower for Keri and Alan Russo will be this Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at Rosston Baptist Church. Everyone is invited to attend.

Jerry Sue Gibson is in our prayers. She is not feeling well these days.

Even a fish stays out of trouble by keeping his mouth shut a thought for the day.
