Boughton NewsMRS. WILLIE HOOKSPublished Wednesday, March 7, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune The sunshine is beautiful after several days of rain. The death angel claimed our dear friend Mozelle Gill Tuesday of last week. She was our neighbor for more than forty years. Her family certainly has my sympathy. Happy belated birthday to Hetty Priest of Florida. Hetty was 98 years old February 28 and still likes the Nevada County Picayune. We were sorry to hear of the death of Bro. Junior Thrasher. His funeral was at Horne Funeral Home in Gurdon Saturday. Several of Boughton Church members attended his funeral. We welcome Gary and Ashley Stovall and Cameron to our community. They have bought Gary and Angie Beck's house in Boughton. Angie and Gary Beck have moved to Calico Rock. Mary Orren and grandson, Robert Orren, watched the Arkansas and Georgia basketball game Saturday with Jim and Leann Meador. Robert also visited his dad, Dale Orren. Everett and Mary Orren visits Chloe Orren every few days. Other visitors last week were Robert Orren and Edgar and Wanda White. Edgar and Wanda also visited his Aunt Donnie Rinkle. Donnie is not feeling well. Bro. Lewis Havner and Jane of Oklahoma, former pastor of Boughton Church, and their granddaughter of Hope visited Boughton Church Sunday morning. Judy Allen spent a few days with her children in Baytown, Texas. Theresa and Jewel Grifford and J.D. and Mildred Kelly visited J.D. and Mary Ann Lucas during the week.
