Golden OldiesDoris VancePublished Wednesday, May 5, 1999 in the Gurdon Times May is Old American Month. The Gurdon Senior Adult Center held a reception on May 3. May 4 there was an auction. Special music will be presented today by Lloyd Baumgardner. The square dancers will perform on May 6 and the senior adults will visit the Murfreesboro Center on May 7. We wish to thank Beatrice Stafford for the birthday window for May. Beatrice and Sybil Harris contribute lots of their time to this project. The Cover Girls have started quilting again. We appreciate them very much. The seniors who visited the Glenwood Center on April 30 really enjoyed the trip. There are more activities planned for May. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
