Kisselburg, Vanderveer Exchange Vows

Wedding vows were exchanged between Hallie Kisselburg and Lynn Vanderveer at five o'clock in the evening, Saturday, January 20, at the First United Methodist Church in Prescott. Jon Chadwell of Prescott officiated.

Parents of the bride are Mrs. Sherry Chadwell of Prescott and Mr. Bill Kisselburg of Blytheville.

Grandparents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Taylor of Prescott and the late Wesley and Hallie Kisselburg of Hale Center, Texas, and Prescott. Maternal great grandmother of the bride is Mrs. Earl Childers of Prescott.

Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Gaither Vanderveer Jr. of Muskogee, Okla.

Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Gaither Vanderveer and Mrs. Opal Gregson and the late Joe Gregson of Lubbock, Texas.

The sanctuary was decorated with a 15-branch candelabra and a seven branch candelabra on each side of the large glass window. Flanked on either side of the alter area were antique marble urns containing magnolia blossoms and greenery, along with a seven-branch candelabra. The windows in the sanctuary were decorated with magnolia leaves and candles.

Pews were decorated with tulle bows accented with ivy and gardenias. Entry doors were also decorated with tulle bows and streamers.

A program of wedding music was presented by Shelia Cannon, organist. Because You Love Me was sung by soloist Rachel Dougan of Prescott. I've Dreamed of You was played during the lighting of the unity candle.

The bride, presented for marriage by her father, chose a gown of candlelight satin with a squared neckline. The sleeveless, fitted bodice was overlaid with re-embroidered Alencon lace, seed pearls and iridescent beads. The full skirt extended in to a semi-cathedral train with scalloped hem, which was edged with matching lace.

She wore a matching elbow length veil of silk illusion with a headpiece of pearls and iridescent beads.

The bride carried a cascading bouquet of white roses with white stargazer lilies.

Amanda Crow of Prescott, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Briley Singleton of Blytheville, Kara Porter of Prescott and Calli Chadwell of Norfork. They wore formal matching gowns featuring celadon green satin skirts and black velvet bodices with portrait necklines and long sleeves. They carried bouquets of yellow confetti roses. Shelby Vanderveer, daughter of the groom, served as junior bridesmaid. She wore a formal gown of celadon satin, featuring a black satin sash. Her bouquet matched those of the bridesmaids.

Flower girl was Miss Cassie Godwin of Prescott. She wore a dress of candlelight brocade satin and carried a bouquet of miniature white roses.

Jeff Haynes of Prescott served as the best man. Groomsmen were Jim Honea, Max Kisselburg, brother of the bride, and Ken Avery, all of Prescott. Austin Vanderveer, son of the groom, served as junior groomsman.

Ringbearer was Brandon Honea of Prescott.

Ushers were Scott Taylor, uncle of the bride, of Boston, Mass., and Trent Crow and Jason Kisselburg, cousins of the bride, both of Prescott.

Lindsey Powell of Prescott attended the guest registry and wedding programs.

Barbara Lowdermilk of Prescott was the wedding coordinator.

The reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

The bride's table featured a three-tired wedding cake with an octagonal base adorned with yellow roses.

The groom's table featured an octagonal-shaped chocolate cake with an arrangement of yellow roses accenting the table.

A buffet table featuring brisket, cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables and punch was also accented with an arrangement of yellow roses. Mirrors were placed throughout the reception area which highlighted candles of various shapes.

The reception assistants were Diana Avery, Mary Godwin, Carrie Nivens and Carolyn Tye, all of Prescott.

Rice bags were distributed by Cassie Godwin and Abby Nivens of Prescott. They carried a white wicker basket accented with miniature white silk roses and illusion ribbon.

Following a short wedding trip to Eureka Springs the couple resides in Prescott, where the groom is employed with Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home and the bride is employed with The Partnership.
