Military NewsPublished Wednesday, February 28, 2001 in the Nevada County PicayuneArmy National Guard Pvts. Joseph M. McKelvy and Daniel T. Henderson have graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. The soldiers received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid and army history and traditions. During infantry training, they developed basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experienced using various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman. McKelvy is the son of Eddy G. and Connie J. McKelvy of Bluff City. Henderson is the son of Carla D. McKinnon of Prescott James T. Henderson of Delight.
