Season Begins At Prescott Raceway

Action has resumed at the Prescott Raceway, with a full slate underway Saturday, Feb. 24.

In the super pro division, Larry Boardman of Hensley took the top spot with a top speed of 143 mph.

Boardman had a dial in time of 4.91, and a reaction time of 0.516. His estimated time was 4.90.

Next came Robert Poole from Magnolia. His top end was 115. The dial in time was 6.05, with a reaction time of 0.509 and ET of 6.03.

The semifinalist was Benton's Spencer Elton. He had a dial in of 5.28, and reaction time of 0.543. Elton's ET was 5.24 and top speed reached 133.

Jackie Lewis of Magnolia took the top spot in the no electronics class. He had a dial in of 6.05 and reaction time of 0.469. His ET was 6.03, while reaching 116 mph.

Zach Reynolds of Sheridan was next with an 85 mph run. He had a dial in of 8.07 and a reaction time of 0.452. His ET was 8.05.

Prescott's Jim Newton was one of two semifinalists. He had a dial in of 6.94 and reaction time of 0.578. His ET was 6.93 with a top speed of 98 mph.

Rod Whitmore of Sherwood, was the other semifinalist. His dial in was 6.89, with a reaction time of 0.490. His ET was 6.90, while reaching 100 mph.

The street division was captured by Sheridan's David Reynolds. His dial in was 13.90, with a reaction time of 0.531. Reynolds' ET was 13.89, and speed was 74 mph.

Second came Kelly Mayo of Royal with a dial in of 11.77 and reaction time of 0.481. Mayo's ET was 11.81 and top speed hit 87 mph.

Monica King of Star City was the semifinalist. She had an 11.60 dial in with a reaction time of 0.605. Her ET was 11.63 and top end was 89 mph.

The winners of the super pro and no electronics categories had to race one another to get an overall champion for the day.

Boardman came in first, with a dial in of 4.85 and reaction time of 0.541. His ET was 4.88 and top speed was 138 mph.

Lewis was next, dialing in at 6.02 and posting a 0.554 reaction time. The ET was 6.05 and speed reached 115 mph.
