Writing Off Electric Bills

I want to tell you how much I've enjoyed the articles about the no-payment and delinquent electric bills that you have been running for the past several months. Each week I look forward to seeing how much and how many were behind and what the latest stats were. But when you finally published the names (of those who had been written off) I said, "Wow, something is happening in Prescott, Arkansas." Not much goes on here, you know.

When I was growing up here in Prescott, back in the 50's and 60's era, the one thing that we had to look forward to each and every week was the local movie theater. All week long we anticipated the arrival of the latest movie (which was usually three months after release) and almost all the entire community would arrive at the theater for our weekly entertainment. Elvis, Rock Hudson, John Wayne, Frankie and Annette, all the big names, would be in Prescott once a week to provide us with weekly entertainment. My mother would give me 50 cents for the weekly event. 25 cents was for admission and 25 cents for Coke and popcorn. A total of 50 cents for weekly entertainment. Now almost 40 to 50 years later and still only for 50 cents all of this community can still be entertained weekly with the Nevada County Picayune. And, yes, we anticipate its arrival.

Thank you, Ricky, John and John, for help keeping us staying alive.' Now, will you tell us how we can get our electric and gas bills written off? Last month's electric and gas bills were much too high.
