Boughton NewsMRS. WILLIE HOOKSPublished Wednesday, February 28, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune We have had lots of rain, but thankful we missed the turbulent weather. Bro. Junior Thrasher, former pastor at Boughton Church, had one of his legs amputated last week. So sorry to hear about this. Everett and Mary Orren and son Dale spent Thursday night with Fate House of Powderly, Texas. Leon and Lonnie Jo Moore of Michigan spent a couple of nights with her parents, Lenord and Faye House. Leon's mother, Mrs. Moore of Arkadelphia, is still very ill. Mike Moore of Georgia also spent one night with her grandparents, Lenord and Faye House. Congratulations to Bro. Travis George, pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Prescott, and his wife Rhonda. They are the proud parents of a baby boy named Christopher. Theresa Smith spent a few days with her grandparents, Pete and Cathryn Jester. We enjoyed having Willie and Julene Hulan visit with us Wednesday afternoon. Gayle Mason, Lois McGill, Willie and myself visited Mary Ann and J.D. Lucas last week. Freddie Garner and Edgar and Wanda White visited Chloe Orren last week. They always visit their Aunt Donnie Rinkle in Hillcrest Care and Rehab when they visit Chloe. Mozelle Gill is still in ICU in Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She is very ill. Herbie Ridgell isn't feeling well. Willie Hugh and Carolyn Hooks brought dinner Monday and spent the day with us. Our church (Shady Grove) deacons and their wives honored the senior citizens of the church with a banquet Saturday night. The weather was bad so Willie and I didn't go, but two of the deacons, Paul Cox and Wayne Kisselburg, brought us a plate. It was delicious. We appreciated it.
