Harris and his family will be held Sunday, March 4, at 3:00 p.m at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, 504 South 5th Street, Gurdon. Guest church will be Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Arkadelphia, pastor, Rev. Lewis A. Shepherd Jr. The public and all churches are invited to attend. Annual church anniversary to be held at St. Clair Baptist Church in Burtsell Sunday, March 4, at 2:30 p.m. Everyone and all churches are welcome to attend. Special guest will be New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon with Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor and speaker. There will be an appreciation program presented for Sis. Berdie Quarles at Eastern Star Baptist Church in Smithton community Saturday, March 10, at 6:30 p.m. Everyone and all churches are welcome to attend. Rev. Marshall Allen, pastor. Bethel A.M.E. Church is holding its spring musical Sat., March 17, at 7:00 p.m and wish to invite all churches to attend. The musical is sponsored by Sis. Bertha Vinson. Pastor is Rev. Betty Gulley. Sunday, March 18, at 3:00 p.m. will be the Mission Day program at Rising Star Baptist Church in Hope. Everyone is welcome. Special guest will be New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon, Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor and speaker. Rev. Jessie Radford, pastor. Spring revival will be held Monday, March 19, through Friday, March 23, at Union Chapel in McGehee. Evangelist for the week will be Rev. Quintin Radford, pastor of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon. Everyone is welcome to attend. The 53rd church anniversary will be Sunday, March 25, at 3:00 p.m. at New Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Gurdon. Everyone and all churches are welcome to attend. Special guests will be Rev. William Caldwell and churches of McGehee. The officers and members of Eastern Star Baptist Church will celebrate their pastor and his wife, Rev. and Mrs. Marshall Allen, and their family, pastor's anniversary Sunday, March 25, at 3:00 p.m. Everyone and all churches are welcome. Special guests will be Harrison Chapel Baptist Church of Okolona with Rev. Rufus R. Hatley, pastor and speaker. Rev. Marshall Allen, pastor. Leodis Lyons in charge. Harold Ellis Stafford, son of Ellis and Beatrice Stafford of Gurdon was appointed secretary of the Delaware Department of Labor in January by Gov. Ruth Ann Minner.
