Brenda Sue Smith, 51, of Louann passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2001.

Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 25, 1949, in Gurdon to Jewel Warren and Mary L. (Smith) Wantlin. She became a licensed practical nurse for South Arkansas Development Center's Moore House and was a member of Louann Baptist Church.

She is survived by her parents, Mary L. Wantlin of Smackover and Jewel Warren of Baton Rouge, La.; one daughter, Rebecca Poindexter of the Pace City community; one sister, Frances McCalman of Norphlet; and one grandchild.

Services were held Thursday, Feb. 22, at Louann Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Hart and Rev. Kurt Birkeland officiating. Burial was in Green Grove Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors of El Dorado. Memorials may be sent to Community Hospice Sitters Fund, 1426 N. West Ave., El Dorado, AR 71730.
