Rosston NewsMARGUERITE WILLIAMSPublished Wednesday, February 21, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Sympathy to the family of Gary Williamson of Little Rock. He passed away this week. Burial was Monday afternoon with a graveside service at Shiloh Lamertine. His mother is Ruby (Williamson) Atkins, formerly of Rosston. We also extend sympathy to the family of Uncle Arnold Williams of Camden. He passed away in a hospital in Shreveport where, his daughter Melba lives. His body was brought back to Proctor Funeral Home in Camden. Funeral was Friday afternoon at Immanuel Baptist Church. Roscoe and I attended visitation on Thursday night and the funeral on Friday. Bro. Jimmy Hart was able to have a part in the service. Roscoe and I had supper with Bill and Pat Lusby after the funeral. Aunt Evelyn Clark and daughter of Vidor, Texas, were overnight guests of Elsie Williams after the funeral service. Bob Williams needs our prayers as he remains in an El Dorado Hospital. Bill Freeman is still in Baptist Medical Center of Little Rock, but hopes to be home one day this week. Continue to pray for this family. Thanks to answered prayer, Roscoe and I got good reports when we went to our doctors in Little Rock Monday of last week. My blood tests were all back to normal except one and the doctor thinks it will be okay in two more weeks. Most of our family had lunch with us today after church. They came to see our new fifth wheel. We traded our motor home for it as we don't travel anymore any farther than a lake. We hope to be able to go soon. Troy Smith and daughter Vanessa were guests of Paul and Dot Broussard a few days this past week. Troy is in the U.S. Coast Guard, stationed in Ketchican, Alaska. Doug and Rhonda Morgan of Camden were guests of Sue Dixon and Roscoe and me on Saturday afternoon. We had supper with them at Crossroads Buffet. Continue to pray for Jim and Mona Dixon and Ruth Vinson. They are all ill. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
