College News - UACCH Campus LeadersPublished Wednesday, February 21, 2001 in the Nevada County PicayuneTwenty-five students at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope, who have been selected as outstanding campus leaders, will be included in the 2001 edition of Who's Who Among Students in America Junior College. Prescott students included in the book include Melissa Jackson, Chargloria Shelton-Lawson and Cynthia Thomas. Amy Rudd of Rosston was also included. Campus nominating committees and editors of the annual directory have included the names of these students based on the academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success. They join an elite group of students from more than 1,400 institutions of higher learning in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and several foreign nations. Articles dated December 1981 through May 2001 were contributed by Ragsdale Printing Company, Inc. Articles June 2001 to ? were contributed by Better Built Group, Inc. Articles ? to October 2008 were contributed by GateHouse Media. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
