Emogene Dickerson Oglesby Copeland, 74, formerly of Prescott, Little Rock and El Dorado, died Sunday, February 11, 2001 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler, Texas.

Mrs. Copeland was born September 7, 1926, in Prescott to Forrest and Lillie Smith Dickerson. She was retired from the garment factory in Prescott. She was an Assembly of God and a former Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Clarence Copeland, and her husband of 26 years, Dawson Oglesby.

Survivors include two daughters, Loris Vernae Oglesby Gray of Tyler, Texas, and Betty Gene Oglesby Mortimer Arabi of Kuwait; three sisters, Dorothy Wake of El Dorado, Helen Callicott of Prescott and Betty Stigaullde of Hope; and two grandchildren, Constance Nicole Mortimer of Kuwait and Faress Arabi of Kuwait.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 14, at the Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott with burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
