Black History Program Planned

The Ila Upchurch Corporation will sponsor its annual Black History program February 18 at 6 p.m. in the Prescott High School auditorium. This year's theme is Creating and Defining the African-American Community Family  Church, Politics and Culture.'

The program will consist of talents from various churches in the city and throughout the county. In addition Jeffery Williams has incorporated One Hundred Men In Unity' into the program. All participants in the One Hundred Men In Unity.' are asked to wear black suits.

This segment of the program will be opened to both young people and adult men. The special feature will include V.I.P seating during the program.

Each participant is asked to meet at the Ila Upchurch Community Center Saturday, February 17, at 7 p.m. for a reception in honoring those participating on the program with refreshments being served.

"Certainly this Black History program will be one that the general public will not want to miss," Wilson said.
