Rosston NewsMARGUERITE WILLIAMSPublished Wednesday, February 14, 2001 in the Nevada County Picayune Those celebrating birthdays recently were Lyn Dean Morman's granddaughter, Cassie Cottingham, of Prescott. She was 17. Our great granddaughter, Kathryne Rocole of Magnolia celebrated her seventh birthday with supper at the Out Back Steak House in Texarkana and a bunking party with some little friends at their home on Friday night. Three of Helen Daniels children, Jeanette, Jan and John, had a birthday supper on Saturday night at Tommy and Judy O'Keefe's house. Ellis and Winnie Bailey spent the night in De Queen on Tuesday night with son, Rickey, Nona an Kayla. They attended a ballgame. Bob Gresham was not in church Sunday due to a back injury. Guests in church were Herman and Floy Waters of Dallas. Bro. Mark brought a very inspiring message. After church Sunday night the youth met to make plans for the Valentine's banquet. There will be a prayer group meeting for the ladies and one for the men on Wednesday night. Wednesday night Sue Dixon, Welton Bailey and Gaylon Waters met at Margaret Ivey's home in Prescott to make plans for a Willisville School reunion. There will be more about that later. Bob Lunsford will go to the V.A. hospital in Memphis this week for further treatment on kidney stones. Roscoe and I visited with Odeal Dillard on Saturday afternoon and also Clifford and Jane Cox. We had supper with Billy and Minnie Ella Schmitt at Catfish King and then attended the Union Hill concert at Garrett Memorial Church. Others attending from our church were Alan and Keri Russo. It's sad to think about the group going in different directions, but their ministeries are leading them to other places of service. We have always enjoyed them and they will be missed by a lot of people. Ruth Vinson was taken to Medical Park Hospital in Hope Friday. Please pray for her and her family. Uncle Arnold Williams' daughter of Shreveport came after him this week and put him in a Shreveport hospital. He is in ICU and is very critical. Bill Freeman remains in Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. Roscoe and I plan to visit them tomorrow. We both have doctor appointments there. Please remember us when you pray. See Jesus in everything and in everything you will find blessing. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
