Madelyn Whiterington Parker, 94, of Hampton, formerly of Prescott, died Thursday, February 1, 2001, in Dallas County Nursing Home at Fordyce.

Mrs. Murry was born August 8, 1906, in Woodberry to Quince Witherington and Ida Tracy Witherington. She was a retired school teacher and Farmers Home Administration employee. She was the widow of Floyd Parker and Rucker Murry. Mrs. Parker was a member of First Baptist Church of Prescott.

Survivors include one son, Jim D. Red' Parker of Fordyce and daughter Judy Wood of Little Rock; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.

Graveside services were held at New Hope Cemetery Saturday, February 3, with Rev. Billy Joe Evans officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
