I have spent most of the week in the doctors office but think I'm doing better the past day or two. I went to Hope two times and to Texarkana on Thursday. I will get some follow-up blood work done in Little Rock on the 12th. Please pray that I'll get a good report. Roscoe will go to his doctor on the same day.

Bill Freeman was carried to Hope Hospital on Saturday at noon. Roscoe and I visited with the family on Saturday night. Maxine, Vickie, Booie, Kathryne and I had supper at Catfish King.

Bro. Mark brought a good message Sunday morning with Stacey rendering a beautiful message in song. Guests were Robert and Wendy Bailey and their daughter, Jennifer. Jennifer's husband has gone into the service.

Sunday afternoon, Bro. Mark, Stacey, Bob Gresham and Roscoe and I attended the 50th anniversary in the ministry of Bro. Glen Cannon at Providence Baptist Church on 29 South out of Hope. He is now serving as assistant pastor to Bro. Glen Shults there. He pastored 19 churches and organized three missions. I grew up in the same community as Glen and went to the same church and school with him. There was a good crowd and an over abundance of food. Bro. Larry Silvey was the speaker and Bro. Cannon was presented an award. I think this was the first occasion like this that I have ever attended.

Bro. Jimmy Hart has been in the Camden Hospital for a few days. He and Delois went to Beebe this weekend to visit their daughter, Angie and family.

Keep this sick people in your prayers.

Sympathy to the family of Bro. Wayne Langston. The husband of his sister, La Nell, of Texarkana passed away this weekend. Whites Chapel did not have service Sunday night. Dail and Marjorie Evans and Garland and Floy Faye Goodwin attended church at Bodcaw and heard Bro. Bowman preach.

What God sends is better than what man asks for, so give thanks to the Lord for he is good; his love endures forever.
