Dec. Pearl Henry is sponsoring a musical program March 3 at 7 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Guest groups will be the Spiritual Wonders of Nashville, the Young Singers of Rosston and the Delta Spirituals of Willisville. Everyone is invited.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 12 noon for Bro. Jewell Muldrew at St. Peter and for Sis. Ollie Ruth Page at 11 a.m. at Veldie C.O.G.I.C. in Camden. Sis. Page was the sister-in-law of Charles Page.

Mrs. Rosemary and her husband Larry from Georgia visited her father, Bernice McKinney and her grandmother, Mrs. Sarah Johnson, last week.

Mrs. Ruth Ingram had guests last week from Milwaukee, Wisc. Dr. E.L. Thomas, her son-in-law, visited Friday afternoon. Dr. Thomas was in Nash, Texas, last week, conducting a leadership workshop at Evergreen Baptist Church, where Rev. A.T. Jordan is the pastor. Dr. Thomas is the executive director and publisher of National Baptist Convention Sunday School Publishing Board. Mrs. Ingram's granddaughter, Monette Thomas, and a friend visited her Saturday afternoon. They had a long visit and ate dinner with the family.

Kindrick Chapel youth will sponsor a Black History program Sunday, February 11.

Gladys Dockery is back home after spending several months in Milwaukee with her sister.

The prayer breakfast scheduled at Pleasant Grove has been canceled. It will be rescheduled at a later date.

One month has come and gone in the year 2001. Just like the days, weeks, months and years go, so will one day. So we as Christians let's try and reach out to others and help make life easier to cope with. Just a smile will make a difference.

Sis. Cathy Sanders will be the guest speaker at St. James C.O.G.I.C. Sunday, March 11, at 6 p.m.
